A couple weekends ago we went to a baby shower for friends of ours. (I know, we have a lot of friends having babies.) At the shower they invited friends to decorate onesies. Sounds familiar! The attendees were far more creative and artistic than the ones at Laura’s shower. Check out the pics below.

A couple of weekends ago Ranchel and I threw a baby shower for our friend Laura who is expecting a baby girl at the end of this month.

I thought I would share a few pics from the shower.

I did a few craft projects for the shower, which is pretty impressive because I am not crafty at all. This wreath was definitely the most difficult of the projects. I initially was going to make two but after the first one my fingers were covered with hot glue and pink tissue paper and I decided one was good enough. If you do get the urge to make one yourself I got the idea and directions from A Blissful Nest. I think it turned out pretty well!

This is a mid-point photo of the brunch table. We served 3 different quiches, veggies in baby food jars (see pic below), hash browns, french toast skewers (I really wish I had a pic of these to share) fruit, mini muffins, and cupcakes. I made these poms and 4 others that were scattered about. They were so easy to do and looked awesome!!!

Unfortunately the babies we know didn’t eat fast enough so we didn’t have enough jars so we laid the extra veggies out on a tray.

I also made this diaper which was much easier to make than I expected. Everything I was reading online made it sound so difficult, but I went for it and I LOVE it!!!!! I used some of the leftover peonies as a topper. I got the idea from one of my favorite blogs it’s in the details!

Mimosa’s were a big hit!!!!

We used sippy cups and baby spoons for coffee and tea

As an activity we had people decorate onesies for the new mom. It took a little persuading but the ladies really seemed to enjoy it!

And here are the final onesies drying on the line.

How cute is this idea from The Party Dress! Taking old broken crayons and making new giant multi-color crayons. What a smart, creative idea! Now I just need kids with crayons
