So, did you watch Sister Wives on TLC this week? Because I did and I am proud to admit that I LOVED it. It’s greater than Jon & Kate Plus 8 (Back before the divorce and before he was slimy and she was a not nice word that rhymes with witch) and the Duggars’ put together. It is a bout a man and his four wives – polygamy at its best. I was sucked in and just couldn’t break away. These people actually seem so normal that it is hard to believe that they are polygamist. And the kids seem really, really, really normal, which is even more shocking. If you haven’t seen it, you should. It’s my favorite new show of the season.

Guilty Pleasure TV
I love TV….I love comedies, dramas, mysteries, morning news, evening news, celebrity news, and of course, reality TV!
Two of my guilty pleasure TV shows at the moment are Big Brother and Pretty Little Liars.
Big Brother puts 13 people (the majority of which are hot) into a house and surrounds them with cameras (and sometimes alcohol). Each week someone is voted as Head of Household, nominates two people to be evicted, and then the house votes someone out. Last man or woman standing gets $500,000. It is full of drama and every once in a while “lust”.
To be completely honest I think I enjoy the blogs about the live 24-hour feeds better than the television show. My favorite is Big Brother 12 Blog…because you’re addicted (and I am). It’s like being a legal peeping tom.
Pretty Little Liars is about four high school girls who have a secret. The secret is that they were a fivesome before one disappeared and resurfaced a year later via text messages and emails “haunting” the remaining friends. I say “haunting” because she is dead, hence the above photo. This show is for my inner 13 year old.

Being Erica
During my lunch hour I enjoy watching Hulu . (I’m my own boss, it’s OK) My current Hulu obsession is the show Being Erica. I have gotten through the first season and now am halfway through the second season and I love it. It’s comedy, drama, romance, Quantum Leap and Time Traveler’s Wife all in one. Perhaps, my description isn’t helpful enough.
SOAPnet’s description: Erica Strange is 32 years old, perpetually single, and stuck in a series of dead-end jobs. But she’s been given an amazing gift: the opportunity to relive regrets from her past, enabling her to change the present. Guided by the mysterious Dr. Tom, she weaves through present and past, realizing she needs to take control of her own destiny.

Anywho, I recommend that you check it out!

Golden Globes – Updated
My vote for Best Dressed at the 2009 Golden Globes is Eva Longoria Parker. This Reem Acra gown is absolutely beautiful. I love the deep red color and mermaid bottom. It fits her perfectly! What I love most is the scalloped looking edge along the top. It’s such a sweet, soft detail, but I think it makes the dress PERFECTION.
My vote for Worst Dressed, despite the fact that she is at the top of a lot of Best Dressed lists is Jennifer Lopez. I think the gold is cheap. That plunging neckline and bare back is just inappropriate for someone who is a mother. And it is not flattering to her figure at all. Put this dress on Megan Fox, that would be a much better fit, not “Jenny from the I need a comeback block”. Even Kate Winslet is looking at her like “you’ve got to be kidding”.
UPDATE – Below is a picture of Eva Mendes (see comment below)

Olympic Opening Ceremonies
Last night Chris and Laura came over to watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics with us. We had Chinese food and beer for dinner and I attempted red and blue cupcakes for dessert, but the grocery store only had neon food coloring, so they were purple and smurf blue. But they were still yummy!!!!!
We were all very impressed with the humongous LED screen that they used. (see first picture below from reuters) Both of the boys wanted to buy it, like we have room in our combined 1200 square feet. We were all really impressed with the opening light show that involved in the drums. We thought it was so cool how they perfectly synchronized everything. (see second picture below from the associated press)
Then the humongous screens slid back and these towers slid out. Chris and I thought they were Mah Jong tiles, but evidently they were representations of the wind. Laura kept saying that people were controlling the movement of the towers and we all laughed at her and Chris told her they were controlled by pistons. Well lo and behold they were Chinese peeps controlling them, it was crazy.
Then came the Chinese Justin Timberlake and the people in the ugly yellow unitards. I was so embarrassed for them, but then, they lit up. (see third picture below from reuters) It was the coolest thing ever!!!!! Now I want one, so if you see one on eBay let me know.
The parade of nations was very long and irritating that it was not in alphabetical order. We couldn’t figure out who was next or how much longer til the end. Laura and I did commentary on all the countries outfits. Laura and I were particularly fond of Hungary’s outfits, as was Bob Costa. (see fourth picture below from reuters)
And the fireworks were almost as good as our wedding! (see fifth picture below from nationalgeographic.com)
It was a fun night, full of culture, good food, and great friends!

Short One
I am in the middle of watching So You Think You Can Dance and it’s a commercial then Jonas Brothers. I figured if I miss the Brothers it would not be the end of the world. I have been obsessed with this show! I am excited to see who wins, but so sad for it to end. I have thoroughly enjoyed the dances and tonight I saw my favorite performed again. I recommend you go to YouTube and search “bleeding love so you think you can dance”. I’ve watched this dance probably 50 times, and that’s no exaggeration. I love it!!!!!
I have a bunch of wedding pictures to put up but in the short time I have I’ll display one. I like to title this one “Divalicious”
