Kabobs
These look very simple and delicious. And you don’t even have to worry about the toothpicks because they already come with their own.
Fruit on a stick, how can you go wrong?
I served these at a friend’s baby shower and they are delicious. The trick is using the store bought french toast sticks. Cook them in the oven, the microwave will make them get tough faster (excellent advice from my mother).
I would never eat these, but they look perfect for my husband.

Pumpkin Spice Creme Brulee
If presentation is any indication of taste this pumpkin spice creme brulee must be unbelievable. The recipe from Better Homes & Gardens appears very labor intensive. But who knows, it could be worth all the trouble. Let me know if it is?

TMNT
This cake from And Everything Sweet makes me think of my brother Austin.
Oh how he was obsessed with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I’m singing the song in my head as I type it). The cartoons, the action figures, the real life movie – my mother still has a TMNT bowl that my brother ate cereal out of every morning.
This cake was for a one year old, so I guess the turtles are in again. Maybe my mom can hook my brother up this year. Surprisingly, I don’t ever recall a TMNT birthday cake.
